There’s so many experiences in the world it is an impossible task to imagine them all let alone do them. It would be easy to be swamped under a never ending list of box ticking and not so aimless pursuits. Occasionally however one may crop up as an idea which sparks an interest and should become one we pursue. This one has hit my senses, which, if I had such a list, I would put on it. HDT talks about a skunk cabbage leaf and how it is the best receptacle for drinking natural spring water through. This leaf smells at the stem, both items it’s named after are known for their smell, so this is not surprising, however the stench does not apparently affect the taste of the water.
So why, as a person who carries a water bottle at all times, has this particularly jumped into my senses today. The answer I have no clue about but I now really fancy drinking water through leaves to try and figure out what the best one is. The idea of spring water on a large dock leaf is tingling my taste buds as I write, disguising my coffee. This experience will go on my list, if I had one. The birds are in fine song this morning.
