Ah rain. It’s been pishing down constantly since late Friday. And even then there was only a short gap of part of the day. When it rains like this it feels like it happens all the time and that there is no let up from it. Of course that’s a lot of horseshit. Scotland just has unpredictable, changeable weather. And boy has it been hammering down this weekend. All of yesterday, all of it, absolutely tearing it down. Today too and the amount of water on the roads was incredible.
We went up to Dundee for some sparring and that bit around Perth was bad. The river banks were completely overflowing, it was impossible to tell where the river ended and the fields began. The roads were dangerous with so much surface water. Welcome to Scotland where the roads look like rivers and the fields look like swimming pools. But it won’t last, we know that. We don’t half moan about it when it happens. We moan about the sun as well though when it’s too warm so of course were going to moan when it’s wet. A strange weekend then and I hope it calms down a bit so we can at least get outside for part of this October holiday without drowning. It won’t be tomorrow.
