Whoever was setting off fireworks this morning at ten past six is an absolute bell-end. Who even thinks that’s a good idea? One big one went off right at the end of our dog walk too, though at least he’d been out and toileted as he just wanted to go back indoors after that. That was just after seven. That’s not even a kid on the way to school yet. Idiots.
It’s weirdly light outside just now with the clocks changing, I remember that from last year too. I can see the birds more freely as there is less leaves on the trees. I need to find my binoculars, I don’t know where they are. Oh for a day just to sit and write, I’d like that today, a very quiet, chilled day with nothing but pens and incense and coffee for company.
This morning I stood on a patch of grass that had no grass on it. It was completely covered by the leaves of the ash tree that stood above it. Entirely, a blanket of green and yellow matching leaves, each with its partner. A cool thing about ash; each leaf has its family and an opposite sibling or partner. A reminder at how nature is more than fine at providing for itself and the food it provides for everything around it.
